Alexander and Katherine had the most beautiful Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards wedding. They got married in a Catholic Church, at The Chapel of Immaculate Conceptionlocated in Leesburg, Virginia. Guests arrived early, came and sat in their seats, and a few prayed while they were waiting. It was a beautiful service, the families prayed and the Priest shared his thoughts on marriage and gave lots of advice to the couple.
Next we all headed over to The Barns at Hamilton Station, where the team there had the reception all set up and ready to go. They had cocktail hour on the main floor of the space, followed by a dinner reception and speeches on the bottom floor. During dinner, Katherine’s dad gave a beautiful and heartwarming speech that moved me and many others to tears. He explained what Katherine’s brother, who lost his life years ago, would have been doing had he been able to be present that day. One of Katherine’s close friends also gave a speech, she told the story of how they met, and how she sat by herself to eat one day when Katherine came over and sat with her.
Then, after speeches we all went back up to the main floor for dancing. The reception was full of beautiful classical music, it felt like we were all in a movie. Many of the details of the day, especially Katherine’s veil, had a timeless and classic touch to it which I absolutely adored.
I’m so grateful to have been able to photograph this Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards Wedding, it was a beautiful day and I’m so lucky have the precious job that I have, thank you, Alex and Katherine.
